It is the ultimate sweet treat. Pair with a cup of coffee in the morning for an indulgent breakfast, serve \u00e0 la mode, or simply pick at it throughout the majority of the day (don&#8217;t judge me).<\/p>\n<p>This is a perfect recipe for the holiday season, of course! Snack on it while opening gifts or even take it to grandma&#8217;s house for dessert!<\/p>\n<p>What you will need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 package <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/where-to-buy\/\">Bridgford Frozen Parkerhouse Style Rolls<\/a>\u00a0(Dough)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Or<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/parkerhouse-rolls-bag1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"256\" border=\"0\" \/>1 and 1\/2 loaves <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/where-to-buy\/\">Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough\u00ae <\/a><\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup melted butter<\/li>\n<li>1 cup granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of the two, it really doesn&#8217;t matter which dough product you select. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/where-to-buy\/\">Parkerhouse Style Rolls<\/a> will provide more accurate proportions with your dough pieces. However, with the Ready-Dough you have the option of using the microwave thawing instructions, cutting your prep time down significantly. It is all up to you!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/dough-plastic-wrap1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thawing instructions on the back of the Parkerhouse package: &#8220;Let dough thaw in a warm place (up to\u00a0110\u00b0 F) free of drafts for 1 to 2 hours OR covered in the refrigerator overnight.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I placed all 24 rolls on two lightly greased cookie sheets (12 on each), brushed the tops with a tiny bit of melted butter, covered them with plastic wrap, and let them chill in the fridge overnight (pun intended).<br \/>\nThe next day&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/cake-pan1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lightly grease your cake pan.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/rolls-cut-pan1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cut each thawed Parkerhouse roll into two pieces for a total of 48. Form each into the shape of a ball. You can easily form one whole roll into a ball, making 24 pieces, as the original recipe instructs. I opted to cut them because I prefer smaller pieces.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/bowl-butter1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"265\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Place 1 stick of butter (1\/2 cup) in a microwave safe dish.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/bowl-melted-butter1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cover and heat for 45 seconds to one minute, until butter is fully melted.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/sugar-cinnamon1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"286\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In a separate bowl, add 1 cup of granulated sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/sugar-cinnamon-mixed1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thoroughly combine cinnamon and sugar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/bowls-and-cake-pan1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"239\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ready to roll!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/dough-in-cinnamon-sugar1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dip each piece of dough in melted butter, then coat generously with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/dough-in-pan1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Place each coated piece of dough in your cake pan. Begin assembly at the pan&#8217;s edge, working your way towards the center. Make sure your dough pieces are placed close together, leaving no space in between.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/dough-in-pan-21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/all-dough-in-pan1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After your Monkey Bread is assembled let it sit, as is, until it doubles in size. It&#8217;ll reach a little more than halfway to the top of your pan, which takes about one hour.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/rising-dough-21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/rising-dough-31.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"320\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s ready for the oven! Bake at\u00a0350\u00b0 F for 30 to 40 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bridgford.com\/bread\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/finished-monkey-bread1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"298\" height=\"400\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When tapped on top, your Monkey Bread should have a hollow sound. It should also be golden brown in color.
