1 loaf | Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed |
½ lb | cooked ground beef or ground turkey (or 1-2 cups leftover taco meat) |
1½ tsp | chili powder |
½ tsp | ground cumin |
½ tsp | garlic powder |
1 (15 oz) can | black beans, drained |
1 | small onion, diced |
1/3 cup | sliced black olives, drained |
1 cup | salsa |
1 cup | grated Jack or Cheddar cheese (or a combination of the two) |
Sliced red, yellow and green peppers for garnish |
Mix cooked ground beef or turkey with chili powder, cumin and garlic (if using leftover seasoned taco meat, do not add chili powder, cumin or garlic), set aside. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out to fit a lightly greased 12-inch round pizza pan. Pierce crust several times with a fork. Bake immediately at 450° for 10 minutes. (If thicker crust is desired, let unbaked crust sit out for 30 minutes before baking). Remove crust from oven and top with black beans, taco meat, onion, olives, salsa, cheese, and peppers. Return to 450° oven and bake an additional 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is browned. Remove from oven, let pizza sit at least 5 minutes. Slice and serve.
