1 loaf | Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed |
4 tbsp | butter or margarine, softened |
¼ tsp | garlic powder |
¼ tsp | dried basil |
¼ tsp | dried oregano |
½ cup | shredded Mozzarella cheese, Poppy seeds (optional) |
On a lightly floured board, roll dough into a 10-inch square. Mix the softened butter with herbs and garlic. Spread over dough. Sprinkle cheese on top. Fold dough in half vertically. Fold dough in half again, making square. Fold dough in half a third time, making a rectangle. Cut dough into 8 even slices. Pull and twist each slice approximately 5-6-inches and place on greased baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and top with poppy seeds. Let rise until puffy (approximately 30-60 minutes). Bake at 375° for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from pan to cool on a wire rack.
