1½ loaves | Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed or |
1 pkg | Bridgford Frozen Parkerhouse Rolls Dough, thawed or |
1 pkg | Bridgford Frozen White Rolls Dough, thawed |
¼ cup | melted margarine |
1 | large or 2 small apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped |
½ cup | granulated sugar |
2 tsp | cinnamon |
¼ tsp | nutmeg |
chopped walnuts (optional) |
Grease a 10 cup tube (bundt) pan. If using loaves of dough, divide whole loaf into 16 pieces and half loaf into 8 pieces. If using rolls, you do not need to divide. Mix together the chopped apple, sugar, spices and nuts. Evenly sprinkle ½ of sugar mixture and ½ of butter on bottom of greased pan. Place dough pieces evenly on top. Sprinkle remaining sugar and butter over dough. Let dough rise until double in size or until it reaches the top rim of pan. Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 30-40 minutes. Bread should be golden brown and sound hollow when gently tapped. Remove from oven and invert onto plate immediately. Slice when cool.
