1 loaf | Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed or |
1 pkg | Bridgford Frozen White Rolls Dough, thawed |
1 cup | chopped candied fruit |
½ cup | chopped nuts |
Glaze | |
2 cups | powdered sugar |
1-2 tbsp | milk or water |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
Flatten or roll out slightly on a lightly floured board. Place candied fruit and nuts in center and fold dough over. Knead fruit and nuts into dough. Shape into 17 balls. On a well greased cookie sheet arrange 5 balls in a row horizontally. Place 4 on the next row, then 3, 2 and 1, to form a tree. Use the remaining 2 balls for the trunk. Leave at least a space of 1-2-inches between balls for rising. Let rise in warm place until doubled in size. Bake in a 375° oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from pan to cool on a wire rack. Drizzle with glaze if desired.
Glaze
2 cups powdered sugar, 1-2 tablespoons milk or water, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
