1 loaf | Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed or |
1 pkg | Bridgford Frozen White Rolls Dough, thawed |
1 tbsp | melted butter or margarine |
¼ cup | onion, chopped |
1 clove | garlic, minced |
3 oz | thinly sliced Bridgford ham, diced |
2 tbsp | diced green chilies, drained |
¼ tsp | thyme |
½ tsp | salt |
½ tsp | pepper |
Sauté onions in melted butter until tender. Add garlic, ham, chilies and spices and cook together for 5 minutes. On a lightly floured board, roll dough out to a rectangle, approximately 8 x 12 inches. Spread half of filling over dough. Fold dough in thirds (letter-style). Roll dough out slightly again and spread with remaining filling. Fold as before (you will end up with a square). Pinch edges to seal. Place in a lightly greased 8-inch round cake pan that has been sprinkled with cornmeal (optional). Let rise until tripled in size. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Remove from pan immediately to cool on rack. Serve warm or cool and wrap for serving later.
