Rum Apple Ring

1 loaf Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed
2 tbsp melted butter or margarine, divided use
3 medium size apples, peeled and finely chopped
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
½ tsp rum extract
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
1/3 cup raisins, soaked in warm water and drained
Optional Glaze:
½ cup powdered sugar
¼ tsp rum extract
2 tbsp water
Chopped walnuts, for garnish

On a lightly floured board roll dough out to a 12 x 14 inch rectangle. Brush with 1 tablespoon melted butter. Mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, rum extract, walnuts and raisins. Spread over dough. Beginning with 14-inch side roll up dough tightly in jelly-roll fashion. Place on a lightly greased sheet pan. Shape into oval. Cut slashes at 1-inch intervals. Brush with remaining butter. Let rise until doubled in size. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. If desired, glaze hot ring. Sprinkle chopped walnuts over top.
